With 8 days left, there’s still plenty of time to complete missions and rack up entries in the citywide DC Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt.

The DC Holiday Lights (Virtual) Scavenger Hunt ends December 31 and is a great pandemic-friendly holiday activity. Participants earn entries for each participating commercial corridor they visit during the month of December, as well as by completing other scavenger hunt tasks such as visiting murals on the corridors and hunting down the answers to trivia questions.

The more tasks you complete, the more entries you earn. The more entries you earn, the more likely you are to win great prizes from local businesses all across the District.

By participating, you have a chance of winning one of the 38+ prizes available:

According to a new report by District Bridges, 65 percent of businesses reported losing more than half of their revenue between April-June 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis, with more than a third losing 100 percent of their revenue. These same businesses were also hit with unexpected reopening costs, averaging $9,200, once the lockdown was lifted.

“The true aim of Holiday Lights this year is to rally residents District-wide to support our small businesses this holiday season, in whatever ways they can,” explains Brianne Dornbush, Executive Director of District Bridges.

“We hope that this Scavenger Hunt will encourage residents to explore the commercial corridors that make our city so unique, and find a new business to support— whether it’s with an immediate purchase, hopping online to book a class (virtual or in-person), or buying a gift card for later.”

Corridors participating in the Scavenger Hunt include:
