Columbia Heights Day

The end of summer street party is almost here and we can’t think of a better way to kick off the fall season and kiss the summer nights goodbye than this! The whole family can come enjoy the 10th annual Columbia Heights Day, a festival celebrating this diverse and unique community and all of its vibrant, local businesses.

Since 2005, this event has been organized by District Bridges, a local nonprofit dedicated to community development, and District Bridges’ Columbia Heights Main Street program, the festival promotes local artisans, entrepreneurs, and businesses and gives visitors a unique dive into the neighborhood’s culture all in one stop.

The excitement starts with Columbia Heights’ food vendors, a beer garden, and live music for everyone to enjoy. Then get to know some of the great causes organizing right here in Columbia Heights. Themed tents are set up throughout the event to let you explore the world in our cultural section. Check-out the beautiful work of local artisans and take a moment to focus on your health and wellness.

For the truly adventurous, we challenge you to run through our very own version of an adult warrior obstacle course, including a moon bounce! Families can also enjoy the festival together at the Bloom Bar Fun Tent and at our Fun Field which is located on Harriet Tubman Elementary School yard. This is an event that brings our community together and we are looking forward to you joining us on Saturday, September 12!
