FRESHFARM is implementing safety rules to ensure social distancing in response to COVID-19, so please read the safety guidelines as you head out to the market. And don’t forget those masks!
The Columbia Heights farmers market takes place every Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm until October 14. You’ll find the market at the Civic Plaza, located at Park Road NW and 14th Street NW. The market takes place again in the same location on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
Participating farmers and producers include 78 Acres, Pleitez Produce Farm, and Three Springs Fruit Farm with local fruits and vegetables including berries, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash, greens, and more, and Ravenhook Bakery with breads, pastries, and other baked goods.

Produce Plus Direct at Columbia Heights
The Produce Plus program, funded by the DC Department of Health and administered by DC Greens, has been re-imagined this year as Produce Plus Direct to help maintain social distancing and contact-free transactions. For the 2020 season, which runs from July 14 to September 30, participants in the program have the option to select different boxes of free produce each week for market pickup or home delivery. Customers must sign up at the beginning of the season, and slots are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Sign up online or by phone at 202-888-4834. Many locations have already sold out for the season, but some are still open and waitlist spots are available. Both the Wednesday and Saturday Columbia Heights farmers markets are distribution sites for Produce Plus Direct.
