Many businesses and workers in the Columbia Heights area are hurting during the current COVID-19 outbreak, and many businesses have closed. Beloved local watering holes Wonderland Ballroom and Looking Glass Lounge have both launched fundraisers for their staff.

There is also a neat effort called the DC Virtual Tip Jar, where you can donate directly to bartenders and staff at various bars and restaurants around the city. It includes links and also details like who doesn’t have health insurance and may need extra help.
