A new survey from WMATA is asking riders for their feedback on proposed routes, fare hikes and service changes.
Metro is considering adjusting peak fares by increasing the base fare from $2.25 to $2.50 and increasing the maximum fare from $6 to $7. Late night riders could also see fares rise to peak rates on Fridays and Saturdays after midnight.
Metro could also bring back late night hours with a 2 a.m. closure on Friday and Saturday nights. Metrobus riders could see more frequent service on weekends, while other routes may combine or close.
You can take the survey on wmata.com. Your feedback will help inform proposals for Metro’s final budget this spring. The survey closes on Monday, March 2 at 5 p.m.
