October 16 is National Boss’s Day, a chance to celebrate the people who keep us happily employed! “Boss” has been used as a term to describe something cool or excellent, so if you are blessed with a great boss, you could call them a “boss” boss. Whatever their title, do a little something today for the boss in your life!
We want to take a moment to recognize a few of the “boss bosses” in the area:
Lou Vivas of Viva the Life is one near and dear to the hearts of those who know and work for him. He has just as much love for his team as he does for real estate. Thanks, Lou for being wonderful to work with and for keeping your team at the heart of your business!
Chef James Wozniuk, owner and head chef at MAKAN, shares his passion for the culinary arts in all of what he does, including his team that work for him. Working with Chef Wozniuk is just as exciting as the dishes he creates and we thank him for being so awesome!
Lastly, we want to give a shout out to Columbia Heights & Mount Pleasant Main Streets Director, Carolina Buitrago, who not only works in the corridor, she lives there too! Carolina has a deep respect for the small business owners in her community and the volunteers who work with her. Without their resilience, Columbia Heights and Mount Pleasant wouldn’t be the same. She’s a total “boss” when it comes to organizing the many events that make the gears of this program turn.
Who’s an awesome boss YOU know of who deserves some love today?? Let us know!
