Weekly Produce Subscriptions Available At The FRESHFARM Columbia Heights Farmers Market

Summer produce has arrived at the farmers market, and FRESHFARM makes it easy to take advantage of the best the region has to offer. Sign up for the Market Share, a convenient and easy way to get nutritious, farm-fresh produce every week, all season long.

The Market Share is available for pickup every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 7pm at the FRESHFARM Columbia Heights market. The season runs from July 22 to October 14, and you may sign up at any point. Sign up for the Columbia Heights Market Share here.

Market Share bags ready for pickup

The Columbia Heights Market Share is available in two sizes:

  • The Family Share is $40 per week and contains 10 to 12 types of produce. We recommend a Family Share for one to two adults if they are BIG fruit and vegetable eaters, or for two adults + two young children / one older child. 
  • The Personal Share is $29 per week and contains eight to 10 types of produce. We recommend a Personal Share for one to two adults or one adult + one child.

If you are a shopper who uses SNAP, you can purchases a Market Share using your SNAP benefits. Please email marketshare@freshfarm.org for more information.

Each week, you’re receive a bag brimming with the best fruits and vegetables of the season. Expect to find peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, eggplant, summer squash, kale, potatoes, onions, and more in your weekly Market Share bag.

When you get your produce through the FRESHFARM Market Share, you’re also supporting your neighbors in need. Social Impact is built into the price of every share and more important than ever. All revenue from shares goes directly to FRESHFARM’s emergency food programs in response to COVID-19 and food access programs, currently reaching nearly 700 low-income families in DC with weekly produce.
