If you like Gilmore Girls, or just like free stuff, get yourself to Qualia Coffee on Georgia or Flying Fish on Mt. Pleasant Street. As part of a promotion for the upcoming continuation of the show Gilmore Girls, Netflix is turning the shops, as well as Three Fifty at 17th and U and a few others in the burbs, into Luke’s Diner from the show.
From 7am to noon this Wednesday, Oct. 5th, they’ll be giving away 250 cups of coffee as well as giving the staff branded gear to wear. There’s also a “fun surprise” for people who visit.
I admit I haven’t seen the show, but I have friends who are huge fans and are pumped about it the new series.
Flying Fish Coffee & Tea is at 3064 Mt Pleasant St. NW and Qualia Coffee is at 3917 Georgia Ave. NW.
