Petworth Citizen, the bar and restaurant from the Room 11 folks at 829 Upshur, is celebrating one year of being open. They have a lot of good deals this week:
Tuesday: Punch Night – we’ll be running specials on 4 different punches all night long.
Wednesday: Tiki Night – Dave & Charles will be serving up the tiki classics.
Thursday: Pork & Pies – Porchetta & Pork Buns from Makoto. Pies from Room 11.
Friday: Beer & Books – Bring a book for the Reading Room and get a draft beer for free! (Limit one freebie per customer.)
Petworth Citizen (which also has a free library and event space called the Reading Room) has some tasty brunch options, plus good cocktails and other food. They operate together with Crane & Turtle across the street, the Japanese spot also owned by the folks behind Room 11.
The folks are also hoping to start a bookstore on Upshur Street as well.
