If you like neighborhood meetings, it sounds like tonight’s North Columbia Heights Community Association meeting is a good one: it will be at Bloombars (11th and Kenyon) at 7 pm.
There will be an update on the 11th and Monroe Park, plus Jackie Greenbaum will be giving a presentation about her Mexican restaurant, which is planned to come to 11th and Lamont.
They’ll also be talking about a neighborhood cleanup this Saturday, plus more:
We will use the extra time for a brainstorm session to solicit ideas and discuss our agenda for the rest of 2011, which includes addressing neighborhood parking issues, improving the local streetscape and green space, and addressing trash / graffiti / vermin in a more comprehensive way. We are also actively seeking out a new board member who can take a leadership role in addressing these or any other local issues.
