There’s another taco option for those folks in northern Columbia Heights! A blog I’m not familiar with from the Park Triangle apartments at 14th and Kenyon has word that the new place, Taqueria Habanero, is now open at 3710 14th Street NW, just down from the Red Derby and Herman’s Liquors. (In the middle, above)
This is by my count the third taco place on 14th in northern Columbia Heights, after the great Taqueria Distrito Federal, the granddad of Columbia Heights taco places and Three Salsas, the newer and also tasty takeout spot.
And that’s not all, there’s the other taco and Mexican places which led me to name Columbia Heights the taco-iest neighborhood in the city — El Chucho, Mama Chuy, El Tio, Pica Taco at 14th and Florida, and so on.
