Neighborhood cleanup on Saturday morning at Georgia and Lamont

If you want to help clean up your neighborhood and meet some neighbors, come out to Georgia and Lamont starting at 10am on Saturday.

They’ll have all the supplies you’ll need (gloves, bags and such) and past ones I’ve been to have been pretty fun!

It’s sponsored by Georgia Avenue Thrive. Here’s more about them:

Georgia Avenue Thrive (formerly the Georgia Avenue/Lamont Street Public Safety Task Force) initially was created by neighbors and business owners in the summer of 2015 in response to increased crime in the area. After helping the community address immediate public safety concerns, the Task Force evolved into an organization focused on building an inclusive, connected, and vibrant community for the neighbors, businesses, and visitors of lower Georgia Avenue.
