Here’s a nice article on the Jackson family, who own the soon-to-open (October) IHOP at DCUSA, plus one on Alabama Avenue SE. Clarence Jackson Jr. grew up in Southeast in the 1940s and 50s, and now owns the two IHOPs with his sons, Tyoka and Clarence III, one of whom is an MPD officer.
They seem like good people, and I’m looking forward to it opening soon.
