Lemonade social for southern Petworth/northern Columbia Heights folks on Apr 26, with free popcorn tasting

This sounds neat. If you live nearby, worth stopping by to meet your neighbors! Local residents Russ & Anita Breckenridge organized the event.

Now that the weather is warming up, the neighborhood Lemonade Social is back starting next week!

I’m also happy to announce that Stella’s Popkern, a locally owned and operated business, will be hosting a popcorn tasting for all attendees.

The Social will take place next Wednesday, April 26 from 6:30pm to dark at the grassy triangle located at the intersection of Kansas Ave & Quincy St/13th St.

If you haven’t been before, this is a great way to meet your neighbors and learn about happenings in the neighborhood in a casual, relaxed setting.  It’s very family friendly — kids, elderly and pets welcome. Please help spread the word!

Each week a different neighbor sponsors purchasing the lemonade, ice and cups.  If you’re interested in helping out, please let us know.

If you can’t make it this time, the social will continue on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Same time, same place.

Hope to see you there!
