On Monday night, a large group of protestors came together at Columbia Heights Civic Plaza to protest against the shooting of Jacob Blake by Wisconsin police officers.
By 7pm, the crowd had grown to nearly 200 people, according to DCist. The protestors marched down 14th Street chanting “out of your home and into the streets.”

Throughout the protest, demonstrators focused on calling out inaction—with chants like “white silence is violence.”

Later on in the evening, large groups of demonstrators confronted white diners outside of Columbia Heights restaurants along 14th Street. The video below has since gone viral nationwide.
