It’s time to get some good deals on sporting goods and athletic apparel — Modell’s, the store in DCUSA, is having a big sale right now with many things marked down 50% or more.
However, it doesn’t seem that the store is closing, just getting rid of lots of things (many of which are winter items.) A few days ago, I stumbled upon a blog post about a big sale on Capitals hockey jerseys before the Winter Classic game, and a few people said Modell’s was closing — but I have been unable to confirm this anywhere else. I called the store and asked and they said they weren’t closing. So there’s that.
