Yes, noodle soup and dumplings! 3607 Georgia Avenue NW is the home of EatsPlace, a food incubator or “pop-uppery,” meaning a place to host pop-up restaurants and guest chefs — a space to for chefs who have a concept for a restaurant but not their own space.
DC Born & Raised, a Southern restauarant, recently ended their run, and open now is Baba’s Dumplings and Soup Noodles from chef Katy Chang. Baba means dad, and the food was inspired by Chang’s father, and also uses her own Baba’s Cooking School line of hot sauces and bitters.
Along with aforementioned soup and dumplings, there are drinks like Mai Tais and Chinese beers and desserts, and the City Paper reports nothing will be over $10 — can’t beat that.
Here’s the full menu and hours. And if you’re interested in applying to host your own concept there, check out EatsPlace’s FAQ.
