Community Diaper Drive

Want to get into the Valentine’s Day mood? How about kicking it off with a little love to one of our amazing community organizations?

The Family Place (TFP) has been working hard to serve families in the area both before and throughout this pandemic. Right now, they are in need of diapers—specifically for older babies and toddlers (sizes 4, 5, 6 and pull ups).

TFP was founded with a vision to create a safe family center for mothers to access a range of supports and be the best possible parents. Today, in partnership with The Family Place Public Charter School (TFPPCS), TFP offers high-quality adult English and workforce development classes for parents and early childhood education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. All of their educational efforts are supported by wrap-around case management services.

Over the next couple of weeks, please consider supporting TFP and your neighbors by donating diapers or, if it is easier, making a cash donation. You can donate diapers through their Amazon wish list or you can bring diapers to the drop-off site (1535 Monroe Street NW). Collection ends on February 14.

The Diaper Drive is being organized by by Christine Miller and Dawn Bennett-Ingold.
