Columbia Heights Day, our neighborhood festival, is back for its 8th year on October 11th, and they’re growing. This year the festival will take place at the Tubman Elementary School field like usual, and they’re also taking over 11th Street NW from Park to Kenyon for what they’re calling the 11th Street Festival.
I wrote about CH Day a couple of weeks ago, but the schedule has since changed a little so look below for the latest info. Sounds like it’s going to be a big one, with events for kids and adults, lots of food, music, art, dancing, local vendors, politicians and more.
There are some fun events too, like the always popular pie eating contest, an adult tricycle race, a dunk tank, bocce, and screenprint your own t-shirt.
