UPDATE: Columbia Heights Day is delayed due to construction & other issues

UPDATE: I just heard from District Bridges, who are organizing Columbia Heights Day. It looks like it will be postponed, as their original preferred location of the field at Bell School is under construction. Also it is quite expensive to close a street, so 11th may not be an option. They are working on new locations and are aiming at the end of October. I’ll write a new post when I hear more information.

ORIGINAL POST:

Get ready, Columbia Heights Day, our big neighborhood festival, is back. More details are forthcoming, but it will be Saturday, September 7th from 11am-5pm. Like previous years there will be events for kids and adults, music, food, drink, vendors, local politicians, and a lot more. It’s always a lot of fun. In the past it’s been on 11th Street NW from Kenyon to Park, and I expect that will be the case again. Stay tuned for more info as it gets announced!

The event is volunteer runs and District Bridges, the organizers, would love your help. It’s also pretty fun to volunteer. To sign up, go here.
