If you wanted to rent a bike, now’s your chance. Capital Bikeshare, the bike sharing service with locations in the neighborhood and throughout the city (map here) is open as of today. In our neighborhood, there are stations outside the Giant, at 14th and Harvard and at 16th and Harvard.
Here’s how it works — you join, grab a bike, ride it, and return it to any other Capital Bikeshare station. You can join for a day, month or a year. Greater Greater Washington has more.
It sounds like a neat program. Smartbike DC, which launched last year, will eventually roll into this program.
