Big crowds at yesterday’s Gilmore Girls pop-up at Qualia Coffee

Hearing the all the hubbub on social media, I decided to check out Qualia Coffee’s popup as Luke’s Diner from the TV show Gilmore Girls, which is launching a new series. I went by around 10:30 am and there were definitely more people there than usual, but a few friends who passed by earlier in the day said there were lines down the street to get in.

They were out of the free coffee when I got there, but the staff were wearing Luke’s gear (and backwards hat, which is apparently what Luke from the show did) and the coffee cups and sleeves had references to the show.

It seems like people enjoyed themselves, and overhearing folks who were there, it sounded like a lot of people came from outside the area just for this event — so that’s a good thing, bringing in more folks to our area.

The pop-up ended at noon yesterday, so they’re back to normal Qualia today.

Did you go? How was it?
