While precinct officials in Iowa struggled with a new app designed to report the caucus results, the chaos might have started in a trendy office in Columbia Heights.
Shadow Inc., the makers behind the troubled smartphone app that delayed the Iowa Caucus results, once listed their address as the WeWork in the Manhattan Laundry Building on Florida Avenue Northwest, according to CNN’s Brian Fung.
I visited Shadow Inc.’s address listed in the Iowa Dems’ disclosure filings. It led to a WeWork in this trendy Washington alley (steps from Maydan and La Colombe). But a receptionist told me Shadow moved out last month to an unknown destination. ??? https://t.co/ERglplfPqP pic.twitter.com/6kOaHjpAQ6

The Iowa Democratic Party maintained the problems stemmed from a reporting issue, rather than a hack, according to CNN.
Meanwhile Democrats have waited hours for the results, almost as long as it takes to get a Call Your Mother Bagel outside La Colombe.
