A reader sent this picture of the car fire on Spring Road between 14th and 16th at about 12:30 am on Wednesday. Pretty insane. Their description:
We were worried that the power lines were going to catch on fire the flames were shooting so high. The photo doesnt even really capture how intense it was – but it’s a start. the actually first “blast” shook our house, and then there were repeated blasts following that, as more windows blew out.
Yikes.
The guy on the street was a person who came out to see what was happening.
I emailed MPD Chief Lanier, who forwarded me to the fire department. I’ll keep the blog updated on what I hear.
