If you like good food from a farm, you won’t need to go far. This Saturday both theColumbia Heights Community Marketplace and the Mt. Pleasant Farmers’ Market are opening. The Columbia Heights market is on the Civic Plaza (14th/Park/Kenyon) and goes from 9am-2pm until Dec. 17, while the MtP is 9am-1pm until Nov. 20 at Lamont Park (MtP Street between Park and Lamont.) Both are every Saturday.
The Columbia Heights market has twice as many vendors as last year, and they’re also looking for volunteers for set-up, outreach, break-down and special events. Sounds fun.
The Petworth Community Market, for you northerners, is also soon, starting May 20 and is from 4-8 pm at the triangle between 9th, Upshur and Georgia.
