Coffy Cafe, the new mod-themed creperie coming to 3310 14th Street NW is almost ready: their Facebook page reports they’ll be opening February 18th. I heard from some tipsters that there were workers inside, permits in the windows and the wi-fi was on.
The place sounds pretty neat: they’ll be serving made-to-order sweet and savory crepes priced from $4.50 to $9 (for smoked salmon), baked goods from family recipes and coffees. Their new website has the full menu.

I do like crepes, and it’s always good to have a new, creative place coming to the neighborhood. Plus 14th Street north of the Metro is starting to be a bit of a French strip, with Le Caprice bakery up the block. Well, maybe if we’re lucky.
