Current and prospective business owners on Georgia Avenue have an opportunity to apply for up to $85,000 in funding from the Deputy Mayor’s Office of Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) to reimburse you for improving your property or purchasing equipment that will be used onsite. To be eligible you must:
a.. Directly front on Georgia Avenue
b.. NOT be a liquor store, nightclub, bar, bank or hotel
c.. Be a registered business in Good Standing with the city
d.. Have site control – either own your building, have a lease with at least 3 years left or a contract of sale
