The Friends of the Soldiers Home, a local group that organizes events and tours of the historic Old Soldiers Home (aka the Armed Forces Retirement Home) just east of Park View, is holding a fundraiser this Saturday at Annie’s Ace Hardware at 1240 Upshur Street NW. Here’s more from them!

The forecast outside Annie’s Hardware this Saturday is 70 degrees and sunny for the Friends of the Soldiers Home Spring Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store, 1240 Upshur St. N.W., Washington, D.C.

Stop by for a hot dog, a t-shirt or a chance on a Weber grill that retails for $399! Detailed flyer attached.

Fundraisers enable festivals such as Spring Fling on May 3 that are free to the public. They support volunteer projects such as Saloon Night With Friends, which is popular with Home residents.

If you can’t make it, you can donate at friendsofsoldiers.org. We thank Annie’s Hardware for hosting our Spring Fundraiser at the store.

See you Saturday!

President, Friends of the Soldiers Home
