If you’d like to learn more about the plans for the Park Morton housing complex and the Bruce Monroe Park site, the city is hosting a public meeting on Thursday at the Park View Rec Center, 693 Otis.
The plan is to demolish the old and troubled Park Morton and move residents to a new site at the Bruce Monroe Park as well as mixed-income and market-rate units, plus retail, and also keep some of the park land. Here’smore on the plan.

Good Morning Community Residents and Partners,This is a reminder that on this Thursday, March 23, 2017 the Park Morton Steering Committee meeting will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
The meeting will held be at the Parkview Community Center’s community room from 6:30-8:00pm at 693 Otis Pl NW, Washington, DC 20010. Please invite your neighbors, constituents and community stakeholders. We will discuss the following:
1. Park Morton and Bruce Monroe PUD process and status to date
2. Receive an update from the Park Morton Relocation and Re-occupancy sub-committee
3. Upcoming Bruce Monroe park planning process
