It’s farmers market season! The Columbia Heights Market opened lsat Saturday and the Petworth Community Market is opening their season on Saturday May 6, and they’ll be going until November 18. They’re open 9am-1pm on 9th Street between Upshur and Taylor.

Pretty awesome vendor list too: coffee, produce, farms, pickles, cheese, kombucha, bagel holes (delicious stuffed bagels, basically) and more.

They’re also holding a fundraiser on May 1 at Ten Tigers Parlour from 6:30-9:30 with drink specials, prizes, an auction or more. Tickets are $15 or $25 for two. Sounds like a fun event to help a great local happening.

(The market was previously open on Fridays but it looks like they shifted their days.)
