I can almost taste the pizza. Sonny’s Pizza (and the adjoining No Kisses Bar) at 3120 Georgia Ave NW from the Colony Club folks are looking really close to opening. The interior looks done or nearly done and their Instagram is posting lots of pictures of pizza, wine, etc. Both spots are also hiring, so if you’re interested, contact them.
I’m pretty excited for it. Eater describes it as a pizza parlor and relaxed bar with booths, and adds that No Kisses also has a big patio area. They tried some of the square pizzas last month and they sound excellent:
The menu leads with signature square-shaped pies, served by the slice or whole (ideal for three to four people). One standout is the Pesky Mario, which includes tomato, mozzarella, sausage, roasted onion, hot pepper, and pecorino. Customizable creations are also available.
There’s also chicken parm on house-made bread (see below, yum), apps, salads and Italian wine.
