The second public safety coalition meeting is being held TODAY, Thursday, September 5th from 6:45 pm – 8 pm at District Bridges located at 3400 11th St NW Suite 200.

At the first coalition meeting a group of broad and diverse community members were able to come together and start the process of building a safety coalition here in Ward 1. We discussed the concept of ‘public safety’ and the need for community reactions to the ills in our neighborhoods. We are excited to build a collaborative infrastructure to protect our youth, our seniors, our parents and teachers, our over-policed streets, our immigrant brothers and sisters, and all those who call Ward 1 home. We hope you can join us.
