I don’t like to write about crime, but this is too crazy not to: a man was shot at about 6:30 am on Sunday inside the IHOP on Park Road Irving Street.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive. Police are not sure of the motive and are looking for suspects: “an African-American man with dreadlocks, about six-one, 165 pounds, who was wearing green pants” and “a light-skinned African-American woman with a heavy build.”

This is also strange, because when they opened, the owners said they’d have off-duty police officers providing security there 24 hours a day. Maybe the officer or officers just couldn’t get there quick enough. from 11 pm to 6 am. So I guess the officers were off-duty when this happened. Maybe they should be on duty for longer hours.
